Water wheel

31

The paddle wheel is one of the oldest devices for obtaining energy of flowing water. The water wheel was widely used in antiquity, the middle ages and the early modern period, especially for driving water mills. Later, it was used for driving of mechanisms in blacksmith workshops – mills and sawmills. The water wheel in our Craft Centre is used for driving the hammers in the paper-making workshop.
