Organic growing. Traditional recipes. Quality products. These are the three basic principles that guide Botanicus. The whole range of products can be purchased in Botanicus or franchised shops in the Czech Republic and other countries.

We grow high quality plants and herbs organically. The organic gardens at Botanicus have both decorative and production sections that compliment each other and create harmony. We do not permit commercial fertilizers, chemical sprays or other growth stimulants.

The Botanicus range has grown into original, inspiring and practical design, all made on ecologically sound principles, using local skills and materials. Botanicus cosmetics contain the highest possible quantity of plant material.

A demonstration of this philosophy is the development of the village of Ostra near Lysa nad Labem, a place where the world of plants is harmoniously woven into the lives of everyone who visits and works with Botanicus.

The vision for the future is to continually improve the products available in Botanicus shops, and also in the Craft Centre, which is an important part of company.

RAW MATERIAL

Botanicus is unique in that the company is a closed cycle grower - manufacturer – seller within the same company. This cycle is "figuratively" expressed by the three Latin words in the company name: HORTUS (gardens) - APOTHICUS (pharmacy - production) - BOTANICUS (name of shops).

Growing plants, herbs, fruits and vegetables in our own gardens is the basis for the production of extracts and oils. The close proximity of the garden and manufacturing facility provides immediate processing of natural raw materials. All these raw

materials that come from our gardens, are classified as organic.

This certified material we use not only as ingredients for cosmetics but also in Botanicus food products such as jams, teas or chutney. The whole range of our food products is produced in small batches to conserve their natural characteristics.
